The Elkridge Club set the stage for a beautiful luncheon on May 3rd honoring women in recovery. Over 160 guests attended this yearโs event, along with our keynote speaker, Dr. Bernadette Solounias, who shared passionately about pioneering women in the history of medicine and psychiatry.
Our honoree this year, Carol OโHara was awarded the Women in Recovery Community Service Award for her outstanding work as a volunteer at Ashley. Carol always goes โone step moreโฆโ to help those around her and has been a member of the Ashley Baltimore Leadership Council, a regular facilitator of the Fourth Week Group as well as a volunteer at many Ashley functions. The Women in Recovery Community Service Award is awarded each year to someone who, like our co-founder Mae Abraham goes above and beyond to help the next recovering woman. Thank you Carol for all that you have and continue to do for Ashley and the recovery community.
It is with your help that we were able to raise thousands of dollars for scholarships for women. Thank you to all who sponsored and attended the 11th Annual Mae Abraham Luncheon!
