What Families Go Through During Recovery

Recovery does not happen in isolation. When someone enters treatment for addiction, the people who love them enter their own process of adjustment. Parenting in recovery, rebuilding trust after addiction, managing expectations, and learning how to communicate without enabling are all part of what families face.

Ashley’s family support programming exists because family in recovery is a real and distinct experience that deserves its own structure and guidance. These virtual meetings give family members a consistent, facilitated space to process their experiences, hear from others in similar situations, and get grounded in what healthy support actually looks like.

Research consistently shows that family involvement in addiction treatment improves outcomes for patients and reduces stress and burnout for family members. You do not have to understand everything about addiction to show up for someone you love, but having support helps.”
