Intensive Outpatient Program

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Individualized, accessible treatment

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), in Bel Air is designed to help people who need structure and support to maintain and sustain recovery. Group sessions are available at a variety of times throughout the day. Although intensive, this outpatient program may allow you to continue to go to school, work or tend to other commitments while also working toward your recovery.

How the program works

You’ll follow a plan specific to your needs that lasts for eight weeks. The program requires more than nine hours of treatment per week for the duration of the program. Working in tandem with our compassionate staff, the program will use medical, psychological and holistic treatments to help you achieve long-lasting recovery.

The Intensive Outpatient Program includes:

  • Monitored ambulatory detoxification (if needed)
  • Group therapy four times a week
  • Individual therapy
  • Medication Supported Recovery™
  • Relapse prevention group therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Meditation
  • Naloxone™ certification
  • Family programs and Naloxone™ training

We use the Matrix Model™—a proven and effective, federally-recognized protocol that reinforces positive behavior by combining evidence-based treatment practices with innovative therapies.

Our outpatient facility also offers an Opiate Treatment Program (for maintenance and detoxification), so you can receive opiate maintenance treatment while receiving intensive outpatient treatment.

And if you’re pregnant and struggling with addiction, we can help. We partner with Harford County to participate in the Project Healthy Delivery, which provides funds to help you get the drug and alcohol assessments, counseling and individualized treatment plan necessary for recovery.

Following your completion of the Intensive Outpatient Program, Ashley offers outpatient group therapy on a weekly basis.
