Virtual Parent & Family Connection Meetings

May 3 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating indefinitely

Weekly virtual support meetings for family members who have a loved one struggling with addiction or in any stage of recovery.

As part of our response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Ashley has anticipated the social limitations which many Ashley families are facing. We know that family connection and engagement can be essential to the recovery of you and your loved one. It is also important that you have the support you need during these difficult times. In that spirit, we are offering Virtual Parent & Family Connection meetings every Wednesday from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. These meetings will be facilitated by a member of Ashley’s staff. Register below for the Zoom meeting information. About the meetings: • Last names do not have to be used and are not required • Mute your audio; you can listen and are not required to share, please virtually raise your hand when you would like to share (participant list) • Our only request of you is that you’re respectful of all the other participants. We want to consider all the ways in which we can support you and your family member in your ongoing recovery. If you need us, we’re here for you! Contact our Alumni Department alumni@ashleytreatment.org with any questions.

Facilitator: Jennifer Archut MA, CADC, CCS, CSAT
Jennifer has a Master’s degree in Psychology from Rosemont College. She has over 17 years of clinical experience in substance use treatment in residential and outpatient levels of care. Jennifer has a passion for families needing help in their recovery, as she has been a member of Al-anon for over a decade.

FAQs:

Who can attend?
Any Ashley family member over the age of 16 is encouraged to attend.

The PFC groups were previously held in various locations. Does this group serve families from all regions?
Yes, this group is open to family members from all regions.

Who facilitates the group?
A member of the Ashley staff will be in attendance to help guide the discussion and offer support.

When will in-person meetings be reinstated?
Ashley will continue to monitor guidance from the CDC and other agencies and reinstate in-person meetings when it’s deemed safe.

Are you interested in serving as a Parent and Family Connection facilitator? As we seek ways to expand PFC and offer more peer-led support services, we will rely on volunteers to aid in those efforts. Volunteers will receive training and guidance from our Family Services staff as these roles take shape. If you’re interested, please contact our Alumni Department at alumni@ashleytreatment.org.
