Alumni
Community is our back bone.
Our commitment to our alumni extends far beyond the completion of their treatment program. We offer a variety of programs that provide ongoing support, foster connections among alumni, and create opportunities for them to give back to others on their recovery journey. At Ashley Addiction Treatment, we are dedicated to ensuring that our alumni remain closely connected to our community.

Support for Patients Leaving Treatment
Discharge isn’t the finish line — it’s the start of the next chapter, and you don’t walk into it alone. Recovery works best with support built in, so we stay connected long after you leave campus.
Here’s what that support looks like:
- Check-in calls. Our team reaches out after discharge to see how you’re doing, talk through what’s coming up, and help you stay connected to your plan.
- Next Week Group. A dedicated space for patients in their first week post-discharge, when the transition back to daily life is freshest — and often hardest.
- Grad to Grad Program. Connect with alumni who’ve walked this same road, offering peer support from people who genuinely understand what early recovery feels like.
- Chapter meetings. Local alumni chapters in Baltimore, Delaware, D.C. and Virginia to keep community close, wherever home is.
- Virtual meetings. For those who can’t make it in person, our virtual options mean support is always within reach.
- Alumni events. Our events keep you plugged into a community that celebrates your recovery with you, year after year.
Continuing Connection
Experience the power of staying connected with the new Ashley Alumni App, created in collaboration with Team Recovery to keep you engaged with the latest events and alumni news. Reconnect with your community right in the palm of your hand — with access to events, chat walls, gift card opportunities, Ashley swag, and more!
Community shows up in person, too. Join chapter meetings, held both virtually and in person, and connect at annual events like our Alumni Reunion, Thanksgiving Potluck, and Recovery Enrichment Days. However you connect, you’re never doing this alone.

Service Opportunities
It’s more important than ever to have person-to-person support when you start your recovery journey after Ashley. There are so many ways to stay involved and give back to the community that supported you.
Our Grad to Grad (G2G) program connects you with other Ashley alumni in your area for real, person-to-person support. Reach out to Lilly Cooper, our Alumni Coordinator, anytime to get connected with a grad near you — or sign up here to become a grad to someone else.
You can also give back by:
Volunteering at an event, from Alumni Reunion Weekend to Positive Vibes and beyond
Writing a letter to current patients, offering encouragement from someone who’s walked the path before them
Speaking at a chapter meeting, sharing your story with alumni in your area

Letters of Hope for Moms in Recovery
We know that experience, strength, and hope from someone who’s been there can make all the difference. That’s why we’re inviting our alumni moms to write letters of encouragement to mothers currently in treatment.
Your words can offer reassurance, remind another mom that she’s not alone, and provide hope during one of the most important steps in her recovery journey. Share a few paragraphs about what you wish you had heard while in treatment — your story could be exactly what someone needs to hear today.
Parent and Family Connection
We offer weekly virtual support meetings for family member who have a love one struggling with addiction or in any stage of recovery. These are facilitated by an Ashley staff member and are every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 – 7:30 PM.

Share Your Experience
Your story could be the reason someone else finally reaches out for help. So many people searching for treatment turn to Google reviews first, looking for real experiences from people who’ve been where they are. By sharing yours, you help someone who may be scared, uncertain, or hesitant to take that first step see that recovery — and a place like Ashley — is possible. It only takes a few minutes, but it can make all the difference to someone standing where you once stood.
Connection For A Lifetime
Ashley’s alumni department is here for lifelong connection — not just support for the first year. From the moment you enter treatment and for every year that follows, we want to make sure you stay connected to Ashley and to a community that understands your journey. Because connection isn’t just part of recovery — it’s the key to it.

Carl M. Memorial Tree
Honor Carl M., Ashley alumnus and beloved volunteer, always first to help with that unmistakable smile. Help us plant a memorial tree on campus so every future patient and alumni can feel his lasting spirit.
Anyone who spent time with Carl knows the difference he made. As an alumnus and devoted volunteer, Carl brought light into every moment. He always stepped up to help ~ with his unmistakable smile and generosity ~ especially if there was a golf cart involved!
To ensure his presence endures, and continues to inspire others on their recovery journey, we are planting a memorial tree on Ashley’s campus. This beautiful tree will provide solace for friends and a sacred space for quiet reflection.
