On Thursday, April 19th Dr. Solounias was honored with a career achievement award at the Tuerk Conference in Baltimore for her significant contributions to Ashley Addiction Treatment. Dr. Solounias joined Ashley in 1995 and will be retiring in August after more than twenty-three years of stellar service. She was previously associated with the Division of Drug and Alcohol Abuse at University of Maryland Hospital where she directed the Alcohol and Drug Consultation Service, and also taught medical students and psychiatric resident physicians. Thank you Dr. Solounias for all that you have done and continue to do.
Our 11th Annual Mae Ashley Abraham Luncheon is quickly approaching. Consider joining us at the Elkridge Club in Baltimore on Thursday, May 3rd. This year’s lunch will feature Ashley’s own Dr. Burnadette Soulonias as the keynote speaker and honor Carol O’Hara. Carol completed treatment at Ashley in 1993 and has never looked back. She is a member of the Ashley Baltimore Leadership Council, a regular facilitator of the Fourth Week Group and a volunteer at many Ashley functions.
Support the Annual Mae Abraham Legacy Luncheon and help give women a life of freedom in recovery. All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Ashley’s women’s treatment programs.
