Join us in May for a special edition of Ashley’s Virtual Book Club.
As we celebrate the “Month of Mae” to honor our Co-Founder Mae Abraham, we will be highlighting women in recovery and talking about the unique challenges they face in recovery. At Ashley, we recognize these challenges and place emphasis on bringing awareness and providing a safe space for them while in treatment and after leaving treatment. Ashley’s Virtual Book Club is just one way we offer all of our alumni to stay connected.
In May, we will focus on women in recovery, but all are welcome! We will be discussing “Drinking: A Love Story” by Caroline Knapp. In addition, we will have two guest speakers join us to share their journey through addiction and into recovery from women’s perspectives.
We will be meeting weekly and discussing the book by the following sections:
May 5: Chapters 1 – 5 & Guest Speaker
May 12: Chapters 6 – 9
May 19: Chapters 10 – 13 & Guest Speaker
May 26: Chapters 14 – 16
We hope you will join us. We are so excited to bring this opportunity to our Ashley community!
Registration closes on May 12, 2021.
If you have any questions, please contact our Development Coordinator Kacey Boyle at KBoyle@AshleyTreatment.org.
Note: Content and discussion may be potentially sensitive to some participants.
