LGBTQ+ Youth Advocacy

By the end of this presentation participants will be able to:
– Describe why it’s important to identify which recoverees are LGBT
– Identify behaviors and processes that make the organization more welcoming to LGBT people
– To provide real world situations that participants may encounter in the future and for participants to think through and game plan different ways to handle the situation
– To empower participants to feel more comfortable applying the knowledge that they have gained during the course of the training in real-world situations
3 CEU approved by; Maryland Addiction and Behavioral-Health Professionals Certification Board, NAADAC.
Each credit hour meets the standards for Maryland Addictions & Behavioral Health Certification Board for PRS certification.
Johanna M. Dolan B.Msc., SIC, RCP, RPS is the principal of Dolan Research International, Johanna brings nearly two decades of personal experience as an entrepreneur, nine years as a professional financial planner, eighteen years as a life coach, and eight years as an ordained minister. She speaks openly and candidly on issues ranging from addiction, dysfunctional relationships, finances, the effects of long term chronic illness on life, and more. Johanna is a member of the International Coaching Federation and a columnist with Baltimore OutLoud. She is also a frequent lecturer on Ashley Campus.
