SUMMARY:Recovery Engagement Day (RED)
DESCRIPTION:“Back to Basics” with Carver B.\n\n\n\nAshley alums and staff\, please join us in welcoming Carver B. for Recovery Engagement Day (RED) — Back to Basics. This event will be held in Abraham Hall at our inpatient location in Havre de Grace\, MD. Registration opens at 9:00 am. \n\n\n\nThis effective “program of recovery” is an intensive workshop where\, in one day\, you will learn how to take the 12 steps of A.A. “Back to Basics” is modeled on an original A.A. format from the mid-1940s that produced a 50-75% recovery rate from alcoholism. This workshop is also effective for Al-Anons and other substance use/compulsive disorders. \n\n\n\nPlease bring your Big Book and a highlighter or pen. \n\n\n\nLunch will be provided. \n\n\n\nCarver B.\n\n\n\nCarver Brown is a Love First Interventionist and a certified Recovery Coach and Trainer with the Connecticut Community of Addiction Recovery (CCAR). Carver is also a Structured Family Recovery Counselor and a Grief Recovery Specialist certified with the Grief Recovery Institute. Carver volunteers on a task force for the Episcopal Recovery Program and the Mississippi Department of Corrections and has taken over 7000 people through the 12 Steps nationwide through a program called “Back to Basics”. Most importantly\, he is the husband of Beth and the father of Alex. \n\n\n\nRegistration\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCOVID-19\n\n\n\nAs we look forward to RED\, the health and safety of our guests\, patients and staff remain our top priority. We encourage everyone to stay up to date on vaccinations and boosters and continue to follow safe COVID-19 practices. Masking remains mandatory in Abraham Hall\, the Chapel and the Oak Store and is strongly encouraged everywhere else.
