Emerging Adult Program

Emerging Adult Extended Care

Guiding young men forward.

“We are so thankful to Ashley for helping our son find a new lease on life.” – Parents of Ashley alumnus

In accordance with current research and in an effort to increase our patient’s chance for long-term recovery, Ashley Addiction Treatment offers a 60-day Emerging Adult Extended Care program for males. This program is designed to build off of the foundation established in the 28-day Emerging Adult Inpatient Program. Treatment is focused on developing a patients’ deeper connection to self, others and a power greater than self. The three primary objectives of treatment are healing emotional and mental disorders, resolving trauma and supporting further development. This is achieved through experiential interventions, providing vocational and life skills training, wellness activities, and support from a personal recovery coach.

In Ashley’s Emerging Adult Extended Care Program, you will experience:

  • Individualized treatment which builds upon the intrinsic strengths of the individual.
  • Assessment and treatment of underlying emotional, spiritual, and behavioral issues that contribute to the addictive system through individual and group therapy with a Master’s Level Counselor, Licensed Family Therapist, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Psychologists. Some common issues addressed include co-occurring medical and mental health disorders, unresolved grief, loss and trauma, poor impulse control, cognitive distortions and their associated schemas.
  • Interventions tailored to address the developmental needs of emerging adults, such as experiential therapies including Nature and Art Therapy conducted by licensed and trained clinicians.
  • Experiences designed to promote a fun life in recovery through recreational activities such as kayaking, paintball, movies, bowling, go-kart racing and more.
  • Personalized nutrition and exercise plans with access to on-site gym equipment.
  • 12-step integration which includes help navigating the 12-step fellowship, working with a sponsor, and addresses issues within this process.
  • Opportunities to explore recovery programs outside of the 12-Step fellowship such as SMART Recovery and Refuge Recovery.
  • Life skills to support independent living including financial planning, vocational training, nutritional education & meal preparation, impacts of social media, relapse prevention and conflict resolution.
