The Science of Gratitude
Father Joseph Martin says “Gratitude is the golden tray on which I offer to others what my higher power has given to me.”
Science shows that people who practice gratitude on a daily basis have more positive experiences and are even healthier than those who don’t. In fact, there is much psychological science that shows how people can practice strategies that lead to positive experiences- including gratefulness. Dr. Aaron Ramirez, PSY.D
Dr. Aaron Ramirez started as a staff psychologist in 2014. He brought over 20 years of clinical and research experience in addiction and forensic psychology. He received extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and his therapeutic specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma and addiction. Prior to joining Ashley, he worked in forensic psychology at the District of Columbia Superior Court.
